About

Subtempo is a record label, an artist collective and a platform for contemporary culture founded in 2016 by Rocco Tyndale. We focus on forward thinking music, left-field, electronic and genre blurring projects. Everything we do aims to offer you a carefully curated visual and sonic environment to immerse your senses in.

We work with artists from all over the globe. Subtempo is currently collaborating with Alejandro Bento, Souns, Leeward and Cameron Brooks on their solo projects. Some talented musicians with remixes featured on Subtempo include Robot Koch, Memotone, Christopher Willits, and LCC.

Our cross-platform artist collective is a home for the works of remarkable visual artists. We've commissioned pieces by Yasmin Lever, Regina Dejimenez and Oscar Bento.

Our office is based in the Bay Area, CA and we have strong roots and partnerships in Europe.

Our slogan "We beat a different drum" aims to illustrate the pioneering nature of exploring unchartered territories, something we constantly strive to do with our ever evolving sound.
It originated from the famous quote by Henry David Thoreau “If a man loses pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured, or far away.” A sentiment we hope will join you as you take this journey of discovery with us.
